News from Room 14

We've had a lovely 2 weeks settling back into Room 14. We have been learning all about the Arctic, Arctic animals and the Northern Lights. We completed projects and conducted research using QR codes on the school ipads, encyclopedias and fact sheets. We made some beautiful artwork based on the Northern Lights and Polar Bears. 

In Gaeilge we've been learning about An Aimsir. We've learnt lots of new vocabulary, songs and poems. 

Our focus in Maths was on Fractions and Subtraction. We started using Maths Journals to record our knowledge of our Maths topics. We used lots of concrete materials to help us with our learning. 
In literacy we used to iPads to learn about double constanants and when to use them and the magic e rule. 

We were delighted to have the library back open and had lots of fun learning new basketball skills too.
