April News from Room 14

29th Apr 2026
April has been a busy month in Room 14!

Our Irish is improving every day and we were able to read books "as Gaeilge" in pairs this week. We also recorded ourselves reading "An Nuacht".

We have been able to get outside more with the lovely weather! We practiced our dictation using chalk, had outdoor PE and even had lunch "Al fresco".

We have some wonderful budding authors in Room 14 and are enjoying our work on narrative writing this term.

In Maths we have been learning about numbers to 100, completing hundred square activities and learning about transformation in shape and space.

In our SESE lessons we have looked at slopes, the history of trains, air pollution and counties of Ireland.

Art this month focused on the work of Claude Monet. We had lots of fun experimenting with water colours to create our art.

We enjoyed learning to play Unihoc and look forward to starting Badminton this week.
