🐥 Our Ducklings Have Hatched!
After lots of excitement and careful waiting, our ducklings have finally begun to hatch in Room 10!
Over the past few days, we watched closely as the eggs began to crack and wobble, a sign that the ducklings were getting ready to come out. It was so exciting to see the first tiny holes appear in the shells!
One by one, our ducklings started to hatch. The children were fascinated to see how the ducklings rested in between pushing their way out of the shell. We learned that hatching takes time and a lot of effort for the ducklings.
Once they hatched, the ducklings were tired and wet, but after some rest under the heat, they became fluffy, active, and full of energy!
We have been learning how to care for them by keeping them warm, safe, and well fed. We have loved watching them walking, eating, drinking, and even having a little paddle in the water!
The boys and girls showed such great care and responsibility throughout this project and were so excited to see the ducklings hatch before their eyes.
We now have 5 ducklings and 1 chick 🦆🐥
