🎶 Music in the Classroom Room 1 🎶

We enjoyed a wonderful trip to the National Concert Hall this week for the ‘Music in the Classroom’ programme. The children had been practising two songs in advance - “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers and “Chip In” by Danny Groenland - and it was a fantastic experience to sing them, along with many other pieces, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra.
During the concert, the children also learned about the different sections of the orchestra, including the strings, woodwind, brass, and percussion sections, and how each group of instruments contributes to the overall sound of the orchestra. It was a wonderful opportunity to hear these instruments performed live and to see how musicians work together to create such powerful music.
It was a fantastic musical experience and a very memorable day out for everyone involved! 🎶
